If you enjoy creating your own unique clothing, you will most likely enjoy this fun DIY project! Today, we are going to tell you how to dip dye a shirt (or whatever other article of clothing you might want to dip dye). Dip dying is similar to tie dying, but even simpler! You only need one color of dye, although you could use more if you want. Also, you do not need any rubber bands. See? Much easier!
Here is what you will need to make a dip dyed t-shirt:
- A large glass bowl
- A clean (freshly washed and dried) t-shirt. White is best. If you want to use some other article of clothing, go for it.
- Disposable gloves (because stained hands just are not that sexy)
- A wooden spoon
- A package of fabric dye (we recommend Rit, the color is up to you!)
- Laundry detergent (1 tablespoon if you are using Rit dye)
