You won’t believe which actresses have signed on to star in upcoming movies featuring well known characters! The upcoming movies will be recreations of old movies that are popular and well loved by many.

One upcoming film is Cruella. This movie focuses on the dog-snatching villain Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmations. This movie is described as one that will depict the origin of the character’s personality, meaning we will soon learn why Cruella is such an evil woman. Emma Stone has signed on to star in the role of Cruella! We can’t wait to see that!
Another exciting movie announcement is the remake of Mary Poppins! This new version will come out sometime in the next few years. Emily Blunt will assume the role of Mary Poppins. She certainly has big shoes to fill following the incredible portrayal by Julie Andrews. Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton will star as Jack.
A movie about Peter Pan’s pal, Tinker Bell is also in the works. Reese Witherspoon is slated to play Tink herself!
In a sequel to Maleficent, Angelina Jolie is set to star in Maleficent 2.
A sequel to the Jungle Book will also be released sometime in the next few years. This movie will feature Bill Murray, Neel Sethi, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley.
