It was recently announced that Martin Short and Derek Hough will be participating in NBC’s version of Hairspray Live! These actors join a cast that includes Harvey Fierstein and Jennifer Hudson.

Martin Short will play Wilbur Turnblad and Derek Hough will play Corny Collins. Harvey Fierstein will be playing Edna Turnblad and Jennifer Hudson will be playing Motormouth Maybelle.
This special performance of Hairspray Live! airs on NBC on December 7, 2016. The musical takes place in Baltimore, Maryland back in 1962.
