If you were somehow unaware, Star Wars is extremely popular right now. The latest movie, Star Wars the Force Awakens, was just released last week. This new Star Wars movie is shattering box office records. It includes a cast of old and new characters, such as Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Leia, Luke Skywalker, Rey, Snoke, and others. There has been a lot of talk about Ren in particular.
If you have not seen the movie, it will be most helpful for you to know that Ren is Darth Vader’s grandson (and Leia/Han Solo’s son). Although Kylo was trained by his Uncle, Luke Skywalker, to become a Jedi, he has chosen to go to the dark side. Kylo is a villain in training. So, he is still super angsty, whiny, and (at times) downright annoying. To say that some people are a bit put off by this new antagonist would be a serious understatement. Ren is stirring up almost as much controversy as the time that Han Solo shot first (see what I did there?).
